The L.I.A.M. (Life Is A Miracle) fund is created to honor the memory of
Liam Dean Fagan, who passed away the day before his due date May 9, 2007.
Liam Dean was a unique baby who was facing many surgeries upon birth.
He was diagnosed with Cloacal Dysgenesis at 20 weeks. A rare biological
disorder that affects one in 250,000 births. Ten years ago, his diagnosis
would have been lethal, but with today's technology, his survival potential was
much greater.
Unfortunately, Liam passed away from unrelated complications before
any surgeries were needed.
We truly believe that God, in his ultimate wisdom and mercy, spared our
son from the pain he would have had to endure, but kept him with us for as
long as possible. And though we greatly grieve the loss of our precious son,
we are also thankful to God & to the doctors who gave of their time and wisdom
both during and in preparation
for his birth.
In our son's honor, we have created this fund to help one special young person every year who has had to face physical and/or mental challenges, who has had the courage and strength to believe in their own potential, to move forward with confidence and grace, and who would now like to move onto an accredited college. We are looking for someone who is interested in using their acquired education to help others as they have been helped.
